Giveaway Rules and Regulations
Who Can Enter
1. Nominees who are 18 years of age or older and have lawful access to the Internet and a valid Facebook account.
2. Employees of Le Thrift and their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family and household members of each are ineligible.
How To Enter
3. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. The next Dress Smart - Look of the Month contest begins October 20th, 2011 and ends November 18th, 2011. Only one entry per person. Entries must be received by Friday, November 18th at 11:59 p.m. to win the Dress Smart - look of the month and a $50 gift certificate. The winner will be announced on Monday November 21st. The winner of each month will be automatically entered to compete Le Thrift Dress Smart - Look of the year and win the Grand Prize (details below).
4. To enter log onto http://www.Facebook.com/lethrift and upload photo to Le Thrift Facebook page. Enter/type underneath photo “Le Thrift Dress Smart Contestant.” Photos must be submitted in JPEG format with dimensions at least 640 x 480. Entrants must have the right or permission to submit the photo. Every photo and entry submitted will be posted in a gallery on the Le Thrift Facebook page for the entire contest period. All photos and entries submitted become property Le Thrift and may be used for future promotional purposes. All entries from ineligible entrants will be void. Le Thrift at any time has the rights to void a photo or contestant during the contest.
5. On Monday October17th, 2011 Le Thrift panel of judges will choose 3 nominee finalists with the most Facebook “likes.” with the condition that the nominee(s) has not been previously selected. Le Thrift panel of judges will decide the nominations based upon the following criteria:
The top three entries who were voted with the most likes on the Le Thrift Facebook page. The decision of the judges will be final as to all matters, including, but not limited to, whether an entry is received timely, whether a winner is eligible, or whether a person entering should be disqualified. All entries not selected will remain eligible for all subsequent weeks of the contest.
6. The names of the 3 nominee finalists and their photos and nominations will be posted on Lethrift.com, Lethriftonista blog, Le Thrift Twitter and the LeThrift Facebook page Friday October 7th until December 30, 2011.
Voting starts immediately as soon as the person enters their photo. Each entry can ask friends, coworkers and family to vote. Voting is limited to one per person. Voting must be manual. No bots or other automated voting is allowed.
7. Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner(s) or other giveaway information by Sponsor or entrants for any reason whatsoever.Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’scomputer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the giveaway or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE GIVEAWAY IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the giveaway if it becomes technically or otherwise corrupted.
8. From the three finalists with the most votes there will be one winner selected from the panel of Le Thrift Judges announced Wednesday, October 19th.
9. A Le Thrift representative will contact the “Le Thrift Dress Smart” winner and schedule a time for an interview with a Le Thrift representative. The “Le Thrift Dress Smart” winner must be available to be interviewed between Tuesday and Saturday during the week selected. If the winner is not available for interview, they will forfeit the prize and the nomination with the second highest votes will win the prize. If that nominee is not available, the third nomination will win the prize. If that nominee is not available, the prize will not be awarded that month.
10. The “Le Thrift Dress Smart” winner will be contacted on Facebook to set up a time to interview and get contact information to send prize. Five (5) attempts will be made to contact each winner. The “Le Thrift Dress Smart” winner will be required to complete, sign and return a Certification of Eligibility and Release prior to being interviewed. If a winner can’t be reached, does not respond to the attempted contact within 48 hours or does not complete, sign and return the Certification of Eligibility and Release, that winner will forfeit the prize and the nomination with the second highest votes will win the prize. If that nominee can’t be reached, does not respond to the attempted contact within 24 hours or does not complete, sign and return the Certification of Eligibility and Release, that winner will forfeit the prize and the nomination with the third highest votes will win the prize. If that nominee can’t be reached, does not respond to the attempted contact within 24 hours or does not complete, sign and return the Certification of Eligibility and Release, the prize will not be awarded that month.
11. If a winner does not return the signed and completed Certification of Eligibility and Release and claim the prize within in a manner determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, that prize will not be awarded.
12. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winner(s). The winner(s) cannot assign or transfer prize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
13. The winner(s) is responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the value of the prizes set forth in these rules.
14. Only one prize will be awarded per household. Individuals are eligible to win only one prize within any 90-day period, regardless of the number of giveaways entered. Odds of Winning Miscellaneous
15. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
16. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names, hometowns, likenesses, and photographs for contest, online posting, and/or any in any other media, including for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional compensation.
17. These contest rules are available rules are available online at http://www.lethrift.com through December 31, 2011.
18. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these rules. Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, or administration of the giveaway, or in the announcement of the prize.
20. By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and agree (a) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, (b) to release Sponsor, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize.
21. The winner of each month will automatically be entered to win the - Le Thrift Dress Smart - Look of the Year and a grand prize $200 cash, a guest stylist for LeThrift.com and a feature interview on the LeThriftonista blog.
